Painted from a life, this oil painting on wooden cradled panel, was painted with loose and expressive brush marks. There's a wonderful angularity about roses and their petals which make them fascinating to draw and paint.

I painted this in oils is on a cradled wooden panel and the piece can be hung as is (is strung on the back), but would benefit from a frame to set the painting off.
